Karen McBain is a talented interior stylist known for her ability to create stunning, functional spaces that reflect her clients' unique styles. With a first-class honours degree in design, she began her career at Harvey Nichols in London, where she honed her skills on the display team, working on window dressing, shop fittings, and various interior projects.

Karen’s passion for interiors led her to further studies at the JJA Academy and an architecture practice in Clapham, solidifying her expertise in interior styling. In 2014, she launched Karen McBain Interior styling where she has worked on a diverse range of projects—from transforming a stunning kitchen in a 19th-century period home to crafting contemporary living spaces filled with striking colour.

In addition to her design work, Karen regularly styles interiors for photography shoots, ensuring that each space captures the perfect ambiance for editorial and marketing needs. She is also a merchandiser for Liberty’s in London, contributing to various special projects, including high-profile events like Milan Design Week and the Cannes Beauty Festival.

Her work has received notable recognition, with her own home featured in Period Living, 25 Beautiful Homes, and Apartment Therapy. In 2014, Karen was honored to win the Period Living Interior Design Project award.

Karens recent path has seen her working with property developers, furniture sourcing and styling high end developments and show homes.

Based in Guildford, Surrey, Karen lives with her husband Kevin and their son Monty. She is dedicated to taking on projects throughout the UK, always striving to bring each client’s vision to life.
